Chilled moulds allow components to form and release faster \u2014 but when the mould surface temperature drops below the ambient dew point, condensation forms. This &#8220;sweating&#8221; causes surface defects, watermarks, and corrosion on mould surfaces and guide pins, leading to rejected parts and increased maintenance.<\/p><p class=\"font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]\">The conventional fix \u2014 raising mould temperature \u2014 reduces the condensation risk but also increases cycle times and cuts output. A DST dehumidifier offers a better solution: by lowering the ambient dew point below the mould surface temperature, condensation is eliminated entirely, even at mould temperatures as low as 5\u00b0C.
