All DST desiccative implements are furnished with the Seibu Giken silicon dioxide gel rotary device. Noteworthy is the fact that within the Seibu Giken rotary device, the silicon dioxide gel is chemically affixed to the structure, thereby guaranteeing the absence of desiccant residue in the air. Additionally, DST presents three specialized rotary devices:

  • D-MAX H: boasting germicidal and sanitary properties
  • D-MAX Z: completely devoid of silicone
  • DLR: a zeolitic rotary device tailored for achieving low dew points.

Sorption Principles

At its core, all DST dehumidifiers function based on desiccative principles. The fundamental premise revolves around directing the air to be desiccated through the rotating rotary device, which adeptly absorbs moisture. To purge moisture from the rotary device, a heated airflow is employed. DST has astutely devised the Econosorb and Frigosorb principles, both renowned for their exceptional energy efficiency. Furthermore, other well-known sorption principles from DST encompass Recusorb, Consorb, and Aquasorb.
